Artista que destaca por su fuerte expresividad, sentido rítmico, habilidad técnica y multidisciplinar.
Trayectoria
En su corta carrera artística, ha tenido el privilegio de ser nominada por la Embajada de España para representar el arte flamenco con su compañía en cada rincón del mundo, actuando en países como China, Bután, India, Etiopía o Trinidad y Tobago. Cabe destacar Teatros del Canal (Madrid), Watford Palace Theatre (Londres), Opera Nacional (Armenia), Festival Danza Montreux (Suiza), Teatro Nacional de Artes Escénicas (Trinidad y Tobago).
Colaboraciones
Destacó en importantes producciones como "A mi manera" con la compañía flamenca "Teatro Flamenco La Tati" y como bailaora solista en el Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Actualmente está inmersa en la producción “KALASETU” en Londres, espectáculo que fusiona el arte flamenco tradicional con la música y danza india clásica.
La pasión y versatilidad de Rebeca Ortega la han establecido como una figura destacada en el panorama del flamenco actual.
Premios
- Nominada en categoría de Bailarina a los Premios Escenarios de Sevilla 2024 por su reciente producción de arraigo flamenco y a la vez vanguardista "La Rebeldía del Silencio", que llenó 2 noches el Teatro La Fundición de Sevilla.
- 3ª Finalista Premios Madroño Jóvenes Creadores de Danza 2022, Madrid por la innovadora producción teatral de danza "Raíces" seleccionada en gira por la Red de Teatros de la Comunidad de Madrid.
- Su participación en el Festival Suma Flamenca Joven 2022 y Suma Flamenca 2023 la consolidó como una de las jóvenes promesas del flamenco.
